Job Description The successful candidate will need to be able to prove the following core skills to be successful in gaining employment: 1. Solid development experience - a competent coder, be able to learn new languages using their own initiative and to reverse engineer existing code 2. Proven experience of relational databases (SQL 2000) 3. Proven experience of delivering software solutions to solve business issues 4. Competent design skills In addition the candidate will need to be able to show all of these working traits: 1. They can proactively and reactively work to tight deadlines 2. Project management experience 3. Attention to detail 4. Prioritise work based on impact 5. Pick up new technologies/ideas quickly 6. Problem solving 7. Ability to create, sell in, and implement new technology to improve sales performance The following technologies/applications are used currently. An applicant possessing experience in any/all of these will be at an advantage: 1. Microsoft Front Page (or related HTML editing software) 2. VB script, Java Script, server side coding using ASP / ASP.Net 3. Microsoft SQL 2000 Databases (accessing them from web pages as well as writing SQL queries). 4. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop 5. Goldmine 6. Excel: Advanced Level skills including Pivot Table manipulation 7. Flash MX, 8. CSS 9. XML 10. DHTML (Using DHTML Menu Builder) 11. Microsoft Sharepoint In addition the candidate would be at an advantage if they could show an understanding of the following concepts / disciplines: 1. Search Engine Optimisation 2. Database driven web development for multi-language sites 3. Statistical analysis of corporate data 4. Commercial awareness in terms of the connect between this role and sales/marketing functions Additional skills 1. Knowledge of German would be an advantage Example Activities / Projects 1.
